With so many things vying for our attention in this world, the Sermon on the Mount reminds us where our true identity is as citizens of God’s Kingdom. As we look at the beatitudes, we see that they don’t describe how one becomes a citizen of God’s kingdom, but rather how one lives as a citizen (or disciple) in God’s Kingdom.
Gospel Transformation: From Fruit to Root
How is gospel transformation, the process of overcoming sin and by His grace, being made more like Jesus, accomplished in and through us? Looking at the fruit in our lives, we trace it back to the root, the heart, in order to identify the sin in our hearts and experience true change through the gospel of Christ.
Prepared for Suffering
Coming to you, not as experts, but as men who love God’s word and desiring to walk with humility and integrity in this world, Nick and Bobby take a deep dive into suffering. The bible states that as believers, we will go through trials because of our faith in Christ (John 15:18). God’s Word speaks on suffering and as believers we should be equipped for suffering. By positioning ourselves with humility, faith and the grace of God we will be prepared to stand firm in the face of suffering and adversity.

Sermon on the Mount: Overview
Welcome to Season 2 of the Satisfied in Christ Podcast! We are glad you are here!
We will be diving in the Beatitudes found in the Sermon on the Mount in the book of Matthew. This episode serves as a broad overview of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 5-7. In the upcoming weeks we will be narrowing our focus onto the 9 Beatitudes in Matthew 5:2-11.
Church Planting
Today Bobby and Nick sit down with two church planters in the Pacific Northwest. Derrick Fekkes is a church planter at Roots Church in Stanwood, WA. Brian MacSwan is pastor of Legacy Church in Bellingham, WA.
These men are faithful stewards of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They share some of their struggles, their heart for ministry and God’s provision in the church planting process.
The Church is All Up in My Business
Paid in Full
Tom Kohl, retired judge in WA county, join Bobby and Nick today for an interview. After the murder of his daughter in 2006, Tom wrote a book and the doors were opened for him to begin speaking in prisons in Oregon and around the country This eventually led to the idea of placing a fully accredited college program in prison.
James
James is a book that speaks to the believer on how to live out their faith in Christ. It is a very practical book giving wisdom and guidance on living life by the Spirit.
James contains approximately 59 commands. This can feel like a firehouse - an unattainable standard to meet. Yet, God’s word is not burdensome, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-33)
Community
Speaking this week about the community of the church, Bobby and Nick discuss different ways we are called to live life together, serving and ministering to one another. God calls a people to be His bride, His body - to be united in Christ with God and each other. This is seen all throughout scripture leading us to the understanding that as members of God’s family, we are called into community.
As a church, we must lean into and work towards community together. But that’s not always easy.
